After being removed from my own parents (an alcoholic abusive dad and mentally disabled mother) at age 7, I was placed in foster care together with one of my sisters. We experienced life only as outsiders, looking in on this family’s life. They left us for Canada when we were 18 and 19 years old. Having experienced rejection, judgement, and emotional abuse, it was hard to comprehend that God shows His amazing love and faithfulness in Jesus. But once He came through, I’ve learned that His love never fails.
I have worked in several orphanages first in Haiti and then in Ethiopia, and it is my passion to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Here is a link to a video from one of the ministries I’ve worked for – focussing on God’s heart for the fatherless and our depraved indifference!
